| Kenny, during the Great War there was no Duchy of Saxony, it was a Kingdom. You would be Princess of Saxony Look at the part of "constituent states of the empire" in this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Empire#Constituent_states_of_the_EmpireAlso, do we write like if it were a diary? (from the point of view of our characters) Because, you being royalty, will meet high ranking people and will know of Hamburg politics. I, a mere merchant, will see the point of view of a peasant. Or do we write like in the Ten Powers RPG? | |

| It would be a diary format, I think that would open up the posibility of more entertaining storylines. |

| The idea is just an experiment so that we can find the type of RP this particular alliance finds more entertaining |

| DO remember we have to be somewhat realistic:P
That did not happen in Hamburg in WWI, granted none of this did, but we need to keep in mind what would have been possible and realistic fo rth etime period. |

| =) why is your character so angry about this situation? In 1914, a women would have never been able to acquire such a position. | |

| Aristocratic women were taught that they were to not work becuase it shows off the wealth of their husband/father to have a wife with free time. So a woman going to work would be thaught of as insulting. |

| Yeah, well also women wouldnt be able to get a job like the one you are trying to get. Unless its house cleaning, taking care of the kids, and local farming.. then they have free time. | |

| In Germany (1900's germany) certain jobs were set aside for the royal family and could ONLY be held by royal blood, head of the army bases in a province was one of those I believe (Sorry if my RP was not clear that was what I ment. Adolf is in charge of all the military bases/prisons in the province and I have to report to The Kaiser how he is doing). If there was a short hand of men then a woman would be used to fill that role since commoners could not hold that job under law. |

| Yes I agree it would be alittle bit of a stretch since Adolf's brother could technically do my job but I am playing off of the Kaiser of Germany's trust in his favourite grand daughter. |

| Yeah, sure, but my character is the base commander for hamburgh.. and your's is the prison super attendant =). Due to the situations that happened during the "Transition" i was placed in a Royal position. | |

| Ya I guess we will say you got the possiton because you were a war hero Oh and you might want to remember that the royal families had been ruling for centuries and in the 1850's united under Prussia so the Kaiser (grandpapa) owes his power to being the Prussian Kaiser so your character could not really black mail him. But being a war hero, in Germany especially, makes you almost untouchable by even the royal family. So just say you were a high ranking person in the german-franco war and got injured and got abunch of medals for things you can make up as you desire. |
